#Spring Break American Crafts March Gallery layout

Hi friends,
Hope you are having a great Monday so far.  It is is cold and rainy here and we are just itching for some warmer weather.  Last week I received a fun box from American Crafts filled with their brand new #Summer collection.  This collection is so fun and bright and filled with cheer.  Even though this collection is summer themed I thought it would be fun to use them on a spring break layout of my daughter and her friends.

#Spring Break

I started off my layout by cutting several tag shapes with my Silhouette Cameo and adhered them in rows to my layout.  Next, I painted a heart using white paint and then stitched over it using embroidery floss.

I finished off my layout by adding my photo journaling card and lots of fun embellishments.

I hope you enjoy my layout today, thanks for stopping by!

Daylight Savings Projects

Hi there, I have some projects up on the The Paper Bakery Blog today that I would like to share with you.  I made these layouts with the new  March Daylight Savings Scrapbook Kit.

The Good Life Layout

I love the triangle trend that is so popular right now.  I often use triangles on my layouts.  To create this layout I started by printing a large photo of my dog.  This photo always makes me smile, I love how happy she looked when we were out for a walk one day and we let her off her leash. I backed the large photo with cardstock and then punched out several triangle shapes and stitched them down.

I love the fun embellishments that are included in the Daylight Savings Scrapbook Kit.  I added some enamel hearts and chipboard heart to my photo and a wood veneer arrow underneath.  I dug in to my Paper Bakery supply stash to add a geotag flair from the You've Been GeoTagged set.

You Right Now Layout

I  started out my layout by cutting a triangle background with my Silhouette Cameo, then I backed several of the shapes with pieces of pattern paper from the kit.  I added a few fun wood veneer pieces from the March Daylight Savings Card Kit and Aztec Inspired Wood Veneer set, and flair from the December Times Square  Card Kit.

To finish off the layout I added a few sequins, paper clip and some light journaling.  This layout was so fun to make and came together quickly.  I love the mix of pattern papers that are included in this kit, they coordinate well when combined together.   Such a fun kit to play with!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my projects :)

Umbrella Rain projects for the Paper Bakery

Hi everyone,

I have some fun layouts to share with you this month that I made for The Paper Bakery using their February Umbrella rain Scrapbook Kit.  This kit has so many fun colors and patterns and the possibilities of what you can make with this kit are endless!

Hello Rainy Day Layout

I started my layout off by cutting out a raindrop background pattern with my Silhouette Cameo, and then I backed each rain drop with a different piece of pattern paper.  I added in these adorable chipboard clouds, flair and alpha stickers that are included in the kit.  I also added in the fun cork stickers from December Times Square Scrapbook Kit and the hello wood veneer from the December Times Square card kit.

Hello Spring Bloom Layout

The cut files that come with the February Umbrella Rain kit are so cool.  I decided to use the fun flower that was included in the free cut files.  I cut several from different pieces of pattern papers and planned my layout around them.  I added in some Printshop Thickers that are available in the February Umbrella Rain Project Kit,  and the hello wood veneer piece is from the Aztec Inspired Wood Veneer set and is available in the Paper Bakery shop.  The cardstock, paper clip and green thickers are from my stash.

Awesome Layout

If you know me, you know that I love color and trends, so I decided to combine the two on this layout.  The plus symbols are a hot trend right now.  I created a plus symbol background in my Silhouette Studio software, cut my page and then added some fun hand embroidery!  The #Instalove  flair button is from the Instalove Flair set and can be found here in the shop.

Happy Note Layout

I decided to let go and have fun with this layout.  I cut out all of my hearts from different pattern papers using a heart punch.  I added in a triangle arrow from the Aztec Inspired Wood Veneer set and that lovely blue vellum from the Love Potion #9 Scrapbook Kit.  The cardstock and plain vellum are from my own stash.

I hope you enjoyed my layouts today made with the Umbrella Rain kit, be sure to stop by the Paper Bakery Blog again tomorrow for some more inspiration from the design team!

Remember This Forever...

Hi everyone,

Sharing a new layout that I made today for the American Crafts March Layout Gallery.  I do layouts all the time about some of my favorite subjects - my dogs, husband, friends and my children.  I Finally decided to do a layout about something else that is very dear to me - my Canon 7D.  I have been a loyal Canon fan since early 2000 when I started photography.  I have been blessed enough to work along with Canon in 2 of their creative programs (can you say best day job ever) and have learned a lot and met a lot of amazing people in the photography industry as well as the scrapbooking industry.  I guess you could say that my 7D is my baby.

Remember This Forever Layout

I started out my layout by punching out a lot of pieces using a square punch and then folding them to make them look distressed.  Art is so much more fun when you are not trying to be perfect.  I never measure, I just eyeball it all the time.  And this is the result - creative and carefree:
