good friends...

good friends lift each other up and support each other through life's ups and downs. I am lucky to call these two special ladies my friends. I love getting together with my girlfriends Tricia Wilson and Suzy West, going out to lunch, enjoying weekends of scrapbooking, opera, and Bazooka bubblegum. Laughing at silly things with them.

I wanted to create a friendship layout that was as fun and playful as our friendship, so I chose the Paper Cottage line by Basic Grey.

friends layout:

I cut the fun triangle banner background with my Silhouette Cameo and added lots of fun doodles.
supplies:
Basic Grey: Paper Cottage collection papers, stickers, felt pieces, chipboard letters
tools: Silhouette Cameo

Here we are being silly on my Birthday, I know that we will share many more silly moments together like this one!

Do you scrapbook layouts about your friendships? If so, I would love to see!

thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Enjoy this moment & remember

Hiya friends,

Happy Wednesday. Hope that your week is treating you well. I got the kids off to school and now I am enjoying a nice cup of coffee. I have a layout that I would like to share today using the new Heyday collection from Studio Calico and some SC stamps. I love how it came out!

Enjoy this moment & remember layout:

I really wanted to purchase the sunburst and plano circle as a mask but they were sold out at SC, so I purchased them both as stamps. I sprayed them with Mister Huey's spray mist and then stamped them on my layout. I especially love the look stamped on canvas. So cool!

supplies:
pattern papers: Studio Calico - Hey day collection
die cuts: Studio Calico - Hey day collection
stamps: starburst background stamp, plano stamp (Studio calico)
mask: ampersand (Studio Calico)
spray mists: Mister Huey's (Studio Calico)
tools: Silhouette Cameo
cutting file: enjoy this moment (KI memories)
sewing machine: brother
thread: Guterman
pen: Zig
canvas paper: Recollections

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Blessed day!

Maya road smile banner...

Hi friends,

I hope that your Monday is off to a great start. Mine sure is, I got the kids off to school, made it to the gym and got our grocery shopping all before 9am. Now I have the rest of the day to play in my scrap room, yay!

I have a fun project to share with you today. This week Epiphany Crafts has teamed up with Maya Road to bring you some amazing projects on their blog.

I am up today and I created a fun little banner for my scrap room

Smile Banner by Gina Lideros

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts: scallop 25 shape studio tool, round 25 shape studio tool, round 14 shape studio tool, scallop 25 shape bubblecaps

Maya Road: canvas banner pieces (from canvas banner album), wooden bird pieces, craft doilies, buttons
Pebbles: pattern papers, smile sticker, smile clothespins (Sunnyside collection)
Studio Calico: Mister Huey’s spray mist (mint julep)
adhesive: Beacon’s 3-in-1 quick dry glue
Brother: sewing machine
Guterman: thread

To create my banner, I first sprayed some Maya Road canvas banner pieces with spray mist:

Then I used my Epiphany Crafts scallop 25 shape studio tool, to make scallop epoxies and adhered them to my banner along with Maya Road craft doilies and Maya Road buttons.

Next, I used liquid glue to adhere Maya road wooden bird pieces.

Lastly, I punched some pieces of pattern paper using my Epiphany Crafts scallop 25 shape studio tool, round 25 shape studio tool, and round 14 shape studio tool.

Then I sewed them together in a long chain to make a stitched banner to hang from the top of my canvas banner. I then attached them with wooden clothespins.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Right here with Epiphany Crafts...

Hello! I hope your Friday is off to a great start. Our week has been quite busy with the kids going back to school, trying to get back on a sleep schedule, back to school nights. Things are starting to calm down a bit and I am looking forward to a less hectic week next week. We will see how that goes.

I have a layout up on the Epiphany Crafts blog today featuring the square shape studio tool. I love this tool. Recently I shared a layout that I created for them using the square shaped studio tool and cutting the square epoxies into triangles. Well I did it again. I just can't resist!

Right here layout:

*technique: I used the Epiphany Crafts square shape studio tool as a punch (square punched pieces), and I also used it to create triangle bubblecaps.
To create your own triangle epoxies simply make your square bubble epoxy using the shape studio tool and then cut them in half diagonally.

supplies:
Epiphany Crafts square 25 shape studio tool, square 25 bubblecaps
Studio Calico: Elmwood Park kit: papers, stickers, little flyers
(October Afternoon, Authentique, Lawn Fawn, Basic Grey, Studio Calico)
sewing machine: Brother
thread: Guterman
pen: Zig (black)
adhesive: Tombow

Birthday party favors

Hi friends,

I hope you are enjoying your summer so far, ours has been filled with many trips to the pool and birthday parties! We just celebrated my son's 10th birthday this weekend and I thought that it would be fun to make party favors featuring Bella! new fusion line and decoupage party pieces.

Birthday wish treat box:

I created the treat box using my Silhouette Cameo and 3d pyramid gift box cutting file by Lori Whitlock. Bella! fusion papers fit nicely with the party theme.

and a little something for the girls that came to the party (I added a pearl to this one, to bling it up a bit):

I used Bella! silver and white lace tape to decorate the boxes, and added sentiments and presents from the decoupage party collection. I just love how these came together, so much better than a store bought treat box.

Very simple and easy to make, and sure to be a big hit with the kids too!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope my party favors have inspired you to make your own for your next event!

the good life....

Wow, can't believe it has been a whole week since I've blogged. Where do I start? Things have been pretty busy around here. On Saturday I went on a trip with this special lady:

My daughter Kalee started 8th grade at a new school:
(that's her on the right)

And Matthew turned 10!

We had a special day together. I took him out to lunch, to the cards and comic book store, to pick out some video games at GameStop and he got a new Airsoft rifle for his birthday. He was so excited!

His expression cracks me up, the gun is bigger than he is!

We have also been very busy with cheer and football season:

It has been challenging to find the time to scrapbook. But with both kids back in school next week, I am determined to get back into it.

I created 1 layout this week using the new Summer of '69 kit by Studio Calico:

That's it for now, I will hopefully be back next week with some pics from Matthew's birthday party this weekend. We are going paintballing! Have a great weekend!

You're invited wedding invitation and decor

Hi friends,

I have an elegant wedding card and banner to share with you today, using new lines from Ruby Rock-it!

Creating elegant cards are easy using the new stepper card (size A5), Bella! sugar candy cardstock, and new decoupage ranges.

You're Invited card:

A fun tip that I have for you is layering the decoupage pieces. I layered the center butterfly (above) with an identical butterfly and used foam adhesive to make it pop a little. I also added some Ruby Rock-it vellum and Bella! pearls to really make the card shine.

I finished the card by adding a simple you're invited sentiment (fundamentals sticker). This sentiment will work great for other occasions too.

Next up I have a wedding banner to share with you using the new wedding collections from Bella!

Wedding banner:

To create this wedding banner I used new papers from Two Hearts, Love Story and Smitten collections.

I create the large rosettes by trimming my 12x12 papers into thirds, gluing the strips together and then folding the paper back and forth. I accentuate the banner I also made small rosettes and 3d stars. I completed my banner by using Glittered 3d stickers from the Bella! wedding embellishments collection.

I hope you enjoyed my wedding projects today and get the chance to play with these new collections soon!
